Grades and Grading Practices

Letter Grades

• A = 100 to 90
• B = 89 - 80
• C = 79 - 70
• I = 69 and below

Grades are given at the end of each quarter. Report cards will be sent home at the end of each semester. The quarter grade is the final grade for that term of instruction. Each new quarter represents a new learning term. Report cards will be mailed home at the end each semester (quarter two and quarter four). Grades may be viewed on the website! Please call the office for your parent sign on and password. 

School-Wide Grading Practice

All core content grades in each class with the exception of math at all three grade levels are calculated as follows:

• Personalized Learning Time (Content/Standards) = 20%
• Project Times (Cognitive Skills) = 80% 

In math classes, grades are calculated as follows: 

• Personalized Learning Time (Content/Standards) = 20%
• Concept Units (Performance Tasks) = 80%

Schedule Changes

All schedule changes must be made within the first 1-2 weeks of any given semester depending on the length of the course. Courses cannot be changed after August 25, 2025 for semester one and January 19, 2026 for semester two. ALL SCHEDULE CHANGES MUST BE APPROVED BY ADMINISTRATION Any students who enroll as a new student to Franklin after the start of each semester will have only two weeks to change their schedule from their enrollment date. Students will not be allowed to alter their schedule after the two week window. 

Eligibility

Athletic eligibility will be determined every Monday morning at 8 a.m. In order to be eligible, students may not fail no more than one class.

• End Quarter 1: October 9, 2025
• First Semester End (Quarter 2): December 18, 2025
• End Quarter 3: March 5, 2026
• Second Semester End (Quarter 4): May 21, 2026
